Memories reimagines the traditional remembrance poppy as a bold geometric brooch.

Reduced to simplified planes of intense red and black, the familiar flower becomes graphic, modern, and quietly architectural. The work draws on the enduring symbolism of the poppy while shifting it away from sentimentality toward a cleaner, more contemporary visual language.

Made in sterling silver and finished with enamel paint, the brooch balances clarity, restraint, and emotional resonance. Its strong colour contrast allows it to function both as a commemorative object and as a striking formal composition when worn.

Designed with a sturdy clutch pin fitting, Memories works equally well as a brooch or lapel pin on jackets, coats, knitwear, and scarves.

The piece measures approximately 45mm across the petals and around 10mm deep.
