Penny Arcade

Penny Arcade transforms an old Australian pre-decimal penny into a luminous wearable object.

The original coin has been hand painted and sealed beneath a protective finish, allowing its aged textures and shifting metallic tones to glow with unexpected richness. Greens, golds, and oxidised browns move across the surface like a tiny landscape, giving the piece a sense of history and atmosphere.

There is something compelling about obsolete currency — objects once handled constantly that slowly drift into obscurity. Penny Arcade reimagines that humble material as ornament, preserving both its familiarity and its mystery.

The broad sterling silver setting gives the ring a bold, sculptural presence while remaining comfortable to wear.

The coin measures approximately 33mm across and 30mm from top to bottom.
